Dental check-up

Healthy teeth are the foundation of overall health,
and proper "occlusion" is key to this.

The Importance of Dental Check-Up

For Your Health. Please Consider It.

Did you know that issues with the position of your temporomandibular joint or your bite can lead to severe dental diseases that could be life-threatening? Most people likely don't recognize how crucial teeth are compared to other organs. However, teeth play a significantly larger role in overall health than you might think. To avoid losing important teeth and to prevent severe diseases, we recommend comprehensive dental check-ups just like you would with regular health check-ups.

Why Do You Undergo Regular Health Check-Ups But Not Dental Check-Ups?

It is said that dental diseases caused by issues with the bite or teeth can introduce bacteria into the bloodstream, leading to severe conditions that can be fatal. However, the importance of "Dental Check-Up" is still not widely recognized.

The benefits of undergoing a dental check-up include

The dental check-up thoroughly examines the oral cavity, assessing bite alignment based on jaw joint positioning, identifying early signs of dental issues even without symptoms, and evaluating risks for potential diseases, contributing to preventive care and early intervention for serious conditions.

Dental check-up

Examination Items Details Time Cost
Medical Interview Based on a questionnaire, we will check the temporomandibular joints, oral cavity, systemic diseases, medical history, and allergies. 60 minutes 33,000 yen (tax included)
Oral Mucosal Disease Examination We examine diseases originating from the mucous membranes of the lips, tongue, cheeks, gums, and palate. One such oral mucosal disease, leukoplakia, is considered a "precancerous condition" and can develop into cancer if left untreated. Early detection helps prevent oral cancer.
Cavity Diagnosis X-rays are taken to check the progression of cavities, the condition of restorations, and the state of the jawbone.
Periodontal Disease and Endodontic Diagnosis X-rays are taken, periodontal pockets are examined, and the presence and severity of periodontal disease are assessed. We provide guidance on plaque control and lifestyle (diet), and check for any diseases in the root canals or bone loss.
Jaw Position Diagnosis We measure the position of the temporomandibular joints, the range of mouth opening, and check for any pain or sounds. We also evaluate the state of the bite.
Bacterial Examination We conduct various bacterial tests in the oral cavity, including those for periodontal disease, to determine the risk and state of periodontal disease.
Esthetic Analysis Multiple facial photographs are taken to analyze the tilt, size, and balance of the teeth, as well as the appearance of teeth when smiling. This allows us to determine the ideal and beautiful position of teeth and gums that are harmonized with the globally recognized appropriate temporomandibular joint alignment.
CT Diagnosis Diagnosis is performed using the world's most accurate dental digital CT scan. The CT scan provides detailed information about any conditions, allowing for more precise and safe treatments.
